FAQ
How far are you booked out?
I am usually booked out 3-4 months in advance. Please follow our instagram for any immediate openings through the week.
How do I stay on top of announcements to get booked with you?
I will announce when I am ready to take more inquiries via social media. Scheduling blocks are usually done every 3 months. Dates are subject to change.
Do you charge hourly, or by the piece?
I charge by the hour, rates will be discussed further into the scheduling process.
Do you take credit cards?
I do not at this time. Cash is preferred. If necessary I accept Venmo, PayPal, or CashApp; but may be subject to extra fees.
If I haven’t heard from you after my initial inquiry, does that mean you don’t want to tattoo me?
I do my very best to respond to everyone eventually. I am the only person handling all of my emails, schedules, and tattoo work. Sometimes inquiries fall through the cracks. Please send another inquiry when my books open again and I will get back to you whether it is a project I would like to take on or not.
How do I know if my tattoo idea is something you’d like to take on?
I specialize in black and grey/color realism and portraiture work. I will usually prioritize anything that falls under that and allows artistic liberty.
Do you only tattoo large scale work?
I do my best to fill my day with one client to allow time to focus on each tattoo without feeling rushed. Depending on smaller pieces I may opt for a half day session. You will have a better chance of getting any small tattoos such as lettering, symbols, etc. if we add it onto the end of your session.
Do you do cover-ups?
I welcome coverups, but please keep in mind that not all tattoos are eligible for coverups. Depending on how big and saturated they are, they may require a few sessions of laser removal to do anything with them. Without laser removal, cover-ups typically have to be saturated with dark color and texture to camouflage the old tattoo. The lighter the tattoo is, the easier it will be to broaden our horizons with what we can cover it up with.
What is your deposit policy?
A $300 non-refundable deposit is required to schedule, which will be deducted on the last session of your tattoo. Deposits automatically forfeited in case of any no-shows or last minute cancellations. A 48 hour notice is required for rescheduling. No shows/ no calls will automatically forfeit your deposit and all future scheduled appointments will be canceled. Rescheduling after the 48 hour window will require another deposit ($300).
Will you send proofs of the design prior to the appointment?
Unfortunately there is just not enough time in the day to accommodate every client weeks ahead of their appointment. I take the time I need to discuss with my client as to what they’re looking for in their tattoo, but also need time for myself to ensure I can bring your idea to light while applying my knowledge of design, composition, contrast, and legibility. Each project requires a different process to achieve the best results. Every tattoo is designed for the specific part of the body it will be placed on. Sometimes it may be necessary to draw some of the design on your body with an accompanied stencil. I ask that you trust the artistic process and have faith in me based on the quality of work I put out.
Do you tattoo anyone under the age of 18?
Not unless it is a memorial tattoo. You will be required to show a state issued photo ID when you arrive at your appointment.
